    Enjoy the ride, not the race - signs on Wellington Hutt Motorway

    Has anyone else noticed these? i wonder who is paying for them. is that the governments idea of a good motorcycle safety campaign?

    There's one on the Feathers side of the tukas as well. I think they where a local council road safety committee initiative.

    We have those down here in the south as well, on the road the motorcyclists like from chch to akaroa.

    I think they are good because when I read them it makes me slow down.
    Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

    There is one at the bottom of Wainuiomata hill (Wainui Side) that says something along the lines of "Be Aware, look for motorcyclist" or some such.

    Where have you been hiding Glegge? I think they been up in some locations for what 4 months? First time I saw one was on the pirates m/c club poker run....and that was about march....

    There is one just north of Otaki southbound...

    I once heard that in "that other Isle" they have "must wave at approaching motorcyclists" signs in an attempt to offset the rise in rego with that good old days feeling.

    Oh - it says "Enjoy the ride, not the race"? I thought it was "Shove a pie, in your face" which I thought was quite fitting for motorcyclists
