Good on you Jen! It is very positive to hear that the NZTA has been receptive in regards to providing a beneficial alternative to the basic defensive drivers course for more mature audiences.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Finished the last theory evening of the first Nelson based "Street Talk" defensive riding/driving course tonight.. & it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be!!!

There were 2 motorcyclists (who have been through Roadsafe's training for their learner/restricted licence) & 4 car drivers, incl 3 teenagers.

I am very happy to report that their feedback was all extremely positive!! They all commented on how much they had learned, especially being aware of themselves & what's going on around them at all times.. & hazard observation & avoidance!

They all have a 1 hour practical session to do to complete the course now.. (which is a mock full licence run) where they will get assessed & coached on the correct skills required to pass the test criteria successfully.

Being a qualified riding & driving instructor, I bought a lot of motorcycle related examples into the course.. so now.. there are 4 more car drivers out there who are very much more aware of motorcycles!!!

Next course starts June 17th!!! pass it on!!

I must ask this, what is the diff of this 'benefical alternative' over and above a defensive drivers course?
