    Axle Sliders from $16

I have just finished installing the axle sliders front and rear on the daytona....

These were rather cheap to make, using Nylon rod $26 made 4 sliders and $6 for metre length of m8 threaded rod, nylock nuts x4 and washes x 4....

$32 for materials awesome ..considering I had been quoated a few hunderd dollars for front and rear sliders so 16 each end

Warning!! if you have to pay someone to turn these up on the lathe, allow another $70 dollars or so for labour otherwise your mate will do it for free

Now the ends were all turned and countersunk, while the inside ends(facing bike)were turned to fit over axle threads etc and that the two different size sliders on the rear allow for the single sided swingarm offset

Nice work but they look bit too long, and might just snap off completely during crash...most sliders you get are much shorter.
I guess you need to go and test them out sometime

Orders hmmmm ........nah it would slow the next project down

Better too start a little too long rather than too short,I'm thinking I could shave 40-50% off the length of the sliders, once the fine turning is finished and final measurements sorted then turing them out will be a piece of piss
