SV1000 luggage

my mate is buying a sv 1000 new one to the ppl out there i need to know what you r useing as in bags and so on oh and r thay real ugly or is it just me

Ugly? No, I don't think so. Sound great? Hell yes, stick a yoshi pipe on and you have thunder down under

In my opinion, a very nice bike. Luggage? Can't help there except suggesting the obvious in a back pack, or Ventura luggage system.

its got yoshi sloshi and mmm i think thay r a bit better looking than a mud hopper but mmm will have to c it is a new one no ks and is fitted with the nice sound thunder stuff

the person buying it is soft in the head but that will make for a soft landing when he puts it over backwards

Only lightly tapped with the Ugly Stick. The trellis is handy if you've got a climbing rose or some ivy...

Ugly? No way...but I must admit the slant-eyed front end on the faired models takes a little getting used to. I have a naked 650. Love it. As far a luggage, I use a set of Oxford stuff. Got a tankbag, saddlebags and a tailpack. All works a treat and quite easy to fit and remove, etc. I prefer the soft luggage myself. The Ventura systems are very good though. Tell your mate that there are some good SV resources and groups on the net too. Good bike.

Givi do a hard bag set-up at a reasonable cost.

I use the Ventura pack rack on the 650. No probs so far. It can fit plenty of gear in it. I think it costs between $250 - $300 for the frame and pack.
It would sound beautiful with some a/m cans on.
Take the rear fender off and the back end would look good, plus you'd have a great tool for building a snow hut.
