Don't think it's a proper "wire wheel" one though looks like it has CV carbs

The Aussie 1100 'wire wheels' did have CV carbs.

Impossible to tell whether it's an 1100 or 750 from the photo though.

    Got a link Mike?

Didn't the "real" wire-wheelers have black painted exhausts to cover up where they had been cut open and gutted?
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Hmmm, nice. Needs a bit a work to get it back to original though.

The only difference between the standard 1100 and the Aussie wire wheel was the wheels, whereas the NZ wire wheel got the big outlet exhaust, different cams, slide carbs, different front brake calipers, braided front hoses and extra clutch plate.

Wish i had a pic of the old mans one from the day, many other bikes have made an impression at first glance but none more than that, when he arrived home on the thing it was as though a bloody martian had landed in a spaceship we all just stood there and staredit was just so different to anything any of us both young and old had ever seen.

Yeah yeah yeah..... keep on rubbing it in that you have an E27 Katana..... (mumble grumble etc)... possibly one of the most desirable bikes I'd like to own.....

Wouldn't rate it anywhere near as desirable as a NZ one then
