Did everyone have a nice day today? Sunny day for riding...

Well I had a nice ride up to Whangarei and stopped into the Ruakaka tavern for a cold brew on the way home. Saw lots off bikes on the road and lots off waves and nods. I gota say we are lucky to have such nice scenery to look at while we are on the roads. What a nice country we have and what a nice day. hope use had a nice day too.

It was a beautiful day, I made the husband go out for a ride with me, saw heaps of bikes, and got heaps of nods. Apparently tomorrow will be the same as today so I will go riding while my husband stays at home with his kids!

Yep, shot down to Cambridge to visit me mum. Beautiful riding down via 1B.
Saw heaps of bikes but obviously I was late 'cos in each direction I headed in everyone was already "going home" the other way!

Yup Whangarei up to Waipiro Bay via the old Russell Rd, a few hours on the boat 3 snapper 35cm, 46cm & 62cm then back home to Hika via the same road this time dry and next to no traffic - probably saw 12 or so vehicles going north 1 bike and no one in front or behind me - this is paradise

I couldn't believe it this afternoon, when I took a quick ride to work. For every car that was on the road at that time there must have been at least four bikes!

Sunday, what a fantastic day in the BOP!

Went for a ride with 3 others from Tauranga, up into the Kaimai foothills behind Whakamarama, across to Waihi Beach and Bowentown lookout, through the back roads to come out into Waihi from the Whangamata Rd, to paeroa, up the Paeroa lookoput, across to Te Aroha for lunch, and home via Te Aroha Rd and the Kaimais.

Wonderful blue skies, fantastic scenery and the views from up high, and clicked ove 6000 kms doing 120 km/hr along Te Aroha Rd on the way home.

3 hours later and I'm still buzzing!

Group ride from Whakatane to Rotorua,Whakamaru,Turangi,Taupo,Kopuriki,Whakatane . 460kms, cold but sweet ride. BTW my speedy averaged 4.5 ltr per 100kms. Got to be happy with that.

Went to Taumarunui via SH41 which was great (although still freakin' cold). Good to stretch the old girl's legs a bit.

Did the Waingaro springs / Glen Murray / Mercer and back to Huntly via SH1 this afternoon, awesome ride and quite a few bikes enroute. Road is a bit dodgy around Glen Murray, lots of patch up jobs on blind corners with loose metal, did a small sideways mid corner on some thing I hit that was greasy. Big car smash on the northern section of the waikato expressway by Rangiriri slowed traffic down for a bit. Other than that a great afternoon.

Yeah, it felt distinctly springy today.

Aarimu spiral, hunua, clevedon, maraetai, botany downs then back to Papakura 100Kms. Good times.

Saturday was great for riding. I saw many a bike heading north on the Auckland motorway. Then went for a short ride myself.
