Looking at buying a 1994 CBR 250 RR

Can anyone give me advice on what to look out for when looking over the bike / testing it?

    Thanks in advance

Same stuff like any 16 year old bike...

Does it start ok from cold? All the WOFable things work..like lights, speedo etc.
Take it for ride, make sure it shifts nicely and doesnt jump out of gears and make sure clutch is not fucked, does it ride straight when you let go of the handle bars, no strange noises etc.
Also visualy inspect brake discs thickness and chain slack and front forks for leaks and pitting etc.
Stator and clutch covers for scratches (unless its advertised as dropped already) also one brand new lever is usualy dead give away.
Otherwise rest is up to you so depending on price you can scrutinise the cosmetics... fairings/paint job, etc.

    Why would you choose to go from a 03 600RR to a 94 250RR?

I currently own an '03 600rr but ride my zxr250 most days (since I can't get my full license for a few more weeks), and can tell you it sucks. The 250 is still fun, but it's so disappointingly gutless every time you get on the throttle.

You wont have too much of that problem with the cbr250. My young fella has one and I must say I was very impressed with it.
