Those GoPro HD cameras are pretty cheap.

Motomail also now have their outlet clearance gear online. There's some good deals there, including on ladies gear.

Lots of deals on at torpoedo7.co.nz again this week.

Anyone used one of these? I'm interested in the tach function.

    http://www.torpedo7.co.nz/products/T...ach-hour-meter

Install the Torpedo7 Hour/Tach Meter to keep track of your bike’s hours and stay on top of the necessary routine maintenance which is so important with today’s four-stroke engines. Track oil changes, valve adjustments, spark plugs, etc.

The Torpedo7 Hour/Tach Meter automatically monitors how many hours your engine runs for, measuring time in tenths of an hour. The hour/tach meter shows RPM’s when the engine is running. When the engine is off the meter shows total hours accumulated.

Our recommendation is to keep a maintenance log, recording the current hours when performing maintenance. This way you’ll never forget when you last changed the oil, oil filter, or any other maintenance or modification.

    Features :

Keep on top of your service and maintenance schedule easily
Works on any gas engine up to 1/2/4 cylinders and MAX 99999 rpm
Records and Displays to 9,999.9 hours. Stand-by time up to over 20,000 hours
No Battery Required - connects to spark plug wire.
Automatically tracks the time your motor spends running.
Quick and easy 3 step installation with instructions peel & stick, no wiring necessary or hardware/double-sided tape included
    Waterproof sealed unit
    Pickup wire length = 1100mm

Why? Didn't really see the need for rpm on a DR in the end.

Too low, stall. Too high, change gear

    Cheers

Overlanders Guzzioverland came to stay and swore by Goretex Army boots available from http://armyshop.co.nz for about $90. Waterproof and great as walking boots. They got a replacement pair here as Russia and the Kazaks had munted them.
