Adventure bike knuckle protectors on a bandit??

Has anyone attached these to their bandit before? The reason I ask is that even with hot grips and glove liners my index fingers (particularly the right one) ends up completely white. I'm not kidding, I swear that if I sliced that finger open after a cold ride not one drop of blood would emerge!!!

My assumption is that their primary use on adventure/dual purpose bikes is for protection mainly from stones, flying shit etc. but I did wonder if they might just offer a bit of protection against the cold, forming a barrier between the driving wind and my weenie digits, not to mention perhaps some rain protection?????

Apparently the DL1000 ones are the closest fit for a bandit (was in asking at Haldanes this afternoon) if you're going to do it.

Has anyone here fitted them to a bandit?

I've seen them fitted to several VTR250s, so I see no reason not to give it a try.

they are usually called handguards. Can't speak for bandits, but yes, they keep the wind off your hands (and bushes etc). Perhaps consider heated gloves?

There are a lot of different styles of handguards out there (and different ways they mount onto the bars), so I would shop around a bit, and see what you can find.
That said, the V-strom ones probably aren't too bad, they only have one mounting point on the bars (so you don't have to remove bar ends etc), and come in plain black (rather than orange-with-black-writing, or similar). That said, coloured handguards can help to increase your bikes visibility, if you can find a colour that works for you.
