    Smile Kitset Models

Tamiya make a nice model. Can anyone recomend any other brands worth looking at?
As a result of 'Blackbird' posting those wonderful line drawings of his, based on the Tamiya models, I thought I would take some pics of mine to post. Would like to see any other models that folks have pics of.
I've had some trouble posting JPG files, so I will try another post after this with my pics.

It's a Yamaha XV1000 Virago. Sounds the same as yours.

You had to ask?!? Did you actually put it togather Zadok or were they just pakaged 'toys'? I would love to be able to actually be able to put a model of my bike together.

Took me a few hours each. Did them years ago when I separated from my first wife and needed something to occupy my mind. The trick is not to rush. I used Tamiya cans of spray paint for the main body of the bikes and a very fine brush for all the little bits.

Cool, mines a XV250 so I wonder if they make the 250 model.

There's some superb talent on display here

Seeing the Guzzi V8 brought back memories. I used to have an early Stanley Schofield vinyl recording of race bikes. One of the tracks was Hailwood's Honda 6 at the IOM. That waspretty sensational, but paled into insignificance compared with Dickie Dale on the Guzzi at Hockenheim. Who needs Penthouse
