    Crash in Turkey

Has any one herd any info on the fatal crash in Turkey. I was on this trip last year and remember that the trucks were continuous on this road as they made their way to and from araq

Cool As reported on TV news last night.

The way it is being reported on the TV news by an eyewitness who saw the crash, is that they went to pass a vehicle and went head-on into an oncoming van. The van flashed its headlights at them and tried to swerve to miss the bike.

As to what is the truth and what the tv news is reporting could well be a different story. The son is waiting to hear from the rest of the tour bike party to find out what really happened.

It will be a wee while before they can both be brought home.
They were going to stop in Greece to see one of their daughters before heading home. They owned a 'Honda' shop in their town, their son was also interviewed on tv news last night. The son is into racing quad bikes.

    May they RIP.

I was told this morning that that I may met the guy who died a couple of months ago at Ruapuna, as have several of us here. Did he and his wife run the Timaru or Ashburton Honda dealership?

If so then he attended the Honda Riders development day as a dealer recently. My understanding is he was the guy with the CBR600RR demonstrator parked next to his shops van in the pit area close to the building where we all signed in. I chatted with him briefly. And I also chatted to a lady with him. I'm not sure whether she was his wife.

Anyway - RIP, and my wishes go out to their family and friends.
