Like SC said, careful where you put the helmet, you probably just put it there for the photo but I had to find out the hardway

If you dont wanna put helmet on ground.. put it over the mirrors, little trick that got shown to me last ride

Nice looking bike, considering a VTR myself, i like the naked bikes

Pretty hard to find 250 bandits unfortunately, guess ill have to buy a 1000 one or whatever tehy come in

    See ya on the road

    Thumbs up Good choice!

Dude, I hope you enjoy your VTR as much as i do mine. Good choice for a new rider (and one like me who ad a 10 year hiatus from riding and wanting to get back into it). When I was looking at bikes, I was hmming and hahing between the VTR or an in-line 4 like a Baleus, Bandit or Hornet and reckon I made the right choice for rideability in the city traffic and performance on the open road. Sure it won't do 180km/h like the 4's, but get into the twisties and it holds the road like glue.

I wouldn't mind getting ours side by side to compare whats different between the '00 and the '04 though.
