    Interesting view on bikers

Found this on the forum at hondashadow.net EDIT: Sorry for the repeat post.

I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line
But you didn't see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.

I saw you pull you child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk.
But you didn't see me playing Santa at the local mall.

I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But you didn't see me attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.

I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by.
But you didn't see me driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.

I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But you didn't see me when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.

I saw you stare at my long hair.
But you didn't see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.

I saw you roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves.
But you didn't see me and my brothers and sisters donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.

I saw you look in fright at my tattoos.
But you didn't see me cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart.

I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But you didn't see me going home to be with my family.

I saw you complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.

I saw you yelling at your kids in the car.
But you didn't see me pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.

I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.

I saw you race down the road in the rain.
But you didn't see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.

I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But you didn't see me trying to turn right

I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But you didn't see me leave the road.

I saw you waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But you didn't see me. I wasn't there.

I saw you go home to your family.
But you didn't see me. Because, I died that day you cut me off.

I WAS JUST A PERSON ON A BIKE. A person like you with friends and a family.
    But you didn't see me.

Cagers ohhhh how I get sooooo angry!

Thats quite ironic and relevant. All bikers alike need to be extra vigilant on the road and treat every cage as though it is out to get each and every motorcyclist.
I think cagers take for granted the seriousness of there actions and intentions. Every day I watch them fail to indicate, stop without notice, turn or swerve erratically, change lanes or U turn without notice or even looking...... The insanity is only limited by the mind, and if they catch a glimpse of you on your bike, "by the wrath of the Cager" Its All Your Fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sick of cars trying to take me out because they are in a hurry or not paying attention, but what can one do.
This morning as I drove out my drive and up the road to the intersection, a normal typical day..... A postie in a postie ute, pulls out of a driveway and heads straight around the corner on my side of the road....... I come around the bend, and hulo sailer...... here is a bloody ute with lights on high beam taking up all the road. I am blinded by the high beam lights, and trying to see where to go.....
I cannot explain it, but I somehow missed the postie ute, and managed to stop and stay on the bike...... only to be stared down and given the fingers by the arsehole postie who for the 3rd time has tried, and failed to kill me.

I think as motorcyclists we get a bit over the top about being targets for cars. WE ARE NOT ALONE.

I ride and drive - I spend the working week driving to and from work and pretty much every second day there is some dork in a car who near misses me in my car.

I've had just as many knobs change into my lane in my car as on my bike.

The difference on a bike is when the fucker hits you it, it really hurts. In a car a lowish speed collision only hurts if the airbag breaks your nose.

When on my motorcycle I try to improve my odds by not weaving in and out of traffic or cutting along the inside of cars etc. And FFS when it is -2 degrees and there is ice everywhere leave your bike at home!

Keep sharp no matter what you are driving or riding.

Thanks for reading - I feel I need to pop over to the Katman appreciation website now and make a post!

I promote Offensive Riding Tactics Myself..... If I am in front, then no bugger can break, turn or be an idiot in front of me.
If a car comes toward me or if I come up behind one, I am watching the driver and where they are looking, observing their body language to anticipate their move before they make it.
Cagers always look where they are going to, but not necessarily whats coming and if it's safe. If the look like they are unsure or not sure of where they are going I get the hell outa their way or pass em quick.
You need to use your third sense, and intuition to survive on the roads these days, geriatrics, foreigners, learners, and U turning popo are all out in force. Assume they haven't seen you, and make sure they hear you.
LOUD BIKES SAVE LIVES, get a noisy beast of a horn off user WARLOCK on here at KB, he will help you stay alive cheap as chips with a Stebel 130db horn.

If you need aftermarket pipes for your bike and can't afford the thousands of the shops, I can do you up cruiser sets cheap as chips that look mean through my engineer bike fabricator in Warkworth. Bikers, we look after our own!

And, by the way, I ain't an animal, I don't have a cage, thats for the mrs and the kids. Real men ride rain, hail, sleet, snow or shine. Then and only then can you be a biker. Until then, you are a bikie.............................

Do most bikers donate to churches and charities, while taking time out to run toys to the homeless and play santa claws? That was cringe-worthy.

Why, just the other day my 17 year old son 'accused' me of Asian Driver hunting now that my 139db Stebel Nautilus Compact is fitted on the M50.

The bloody cheek, I said 'I don't just pick on Asians. I tootle melodiously at any & all fuckwits who try to share my lane whilst I'm still in and using it'
