    This thread is annoying!

Here is me, waving out to just about every bike I see while at work (even waved to a Harley rider last week) and no one waves back!

    Why doesn't anyone wave anymore?
I mean to say, everyone says thanks when I give them a ticket.

I even tooted the siren at a V-Strom rider, cause they are special, at the Mohaka lookout last Wednesday. He sort of waved, but hasn't said on KB how nice I am.

JUst a thought... he might have been heading to burglars on or something like that, not wanting to announce his arrival with flashing lights and the like.

No, wasn't in any hurry at all, didn't even bother accelerating after swerving around the poor 4wd.

Even if that were the case, they could have quietly ovetaken the the guy in front... indicators won't alert anyone to anything... or simply follow at a reasonable distance. Absolutely no reason to sit on somebodys bumper like that, was very poor form and not doing public relations any favours.

I'm reasonably pro-police, and I tend to ignore people when they bitch about the police doing stupid crap like that, I assume they're embelishing or making some/all of it up, but I can't deny what I saw.

We were down at the beach-front park this morning with our grandson and not feeling too well I sat in the car.

A Police car cruised by followed by a red mufti Crewman Ute and both were travelling sedately and nicely, keeping good speed and distances. I couldn't see anything to criticise at all...

Stayed at Scumdogs place, had a bit of a tipple, shared a few yarns and had a great time.

Yet to experience the constabularys' attitude toward me on 2 wheels.
but i was heading thru Mount Maunganui in the car one summers afternoon when an officer decided that my little rice rocket deserved a once over.

i stopped and had a chat to him while my mate (in the passenger seat) proceeded to cuss and abuse the cop (he's got more than enough "certificates")

I could see the officer was about to loose his cool and go over my car with a fine tooth comb looking for something to ping me on.

one he returned from his car with my licence my mate started up agian. so i thumped him. as far as i was concerned the guy was just doing his job and didn't need my mates lip.

with my mate rubbing his arm from the thump the cop just smiled, handed my licence back and said have a nice day.

My attitude toward the police is simple, was i doing wrong? i knew the risk of getting caught before i did it, now i face the consequences.
be nice let him do his job and 90% of the time you will be on your way.

just get some attention when you see them, speed, do a wheelie, whatever it takes!

Recently met a very understanding detective who could have done me for assault .
person insisting on pressing charges was seemingly "trustworthy"...
Detective took his time to find out what realy happened....
went out of his way even...
Could have just "nailed" me and be done with it......easiest way out for him.
    I'm very glad he didn't...

    Respect....
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

    Thumbs up

    Peasea, Banned? Bugger!
Bent 12, get a life, there are more people on here than you could possibly know who consider scummy a friend long before also being a member of the constabulary.
It takes all sorts to make an omlette we have a damn fine one here at KB so stop stirring the pot, the eggs are done.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
