    Xt250, Yz, TTR or KX?

Looking to buy a bike for off road, playing on the beach and The Sandpit. So many to choose from, and I am constantly stretching my budget. Now 2-stroke or 4 stroke? Should I go lower to maybe 125 and upgrade later or just do 250? Will a 125 2-stroke match the performance of a 250 4-stroke maybe?

$1500 and I want to rebuild/fix the bike as time progress...go idea?
$3000 and I want a bike that near new reconditioned. Anything in between is a go to depending on the bike. As a newbie I may only do a few hours a month casual riding.
I plan on servicing and doing repairs myself.
Any pointers will be good. What to buy and look out for.
I like the YZ and TTR for maybe putting it on the road and skip the bus ride. I also like the XT/CR.

yz is a motocross bike and you wont get it on the road.

125 is somewhat similar to a 250f, 250f def has more power. for a newbe and for servicing yourself the 125 is best as it teaches you clutch control and good gear selection, and is much more basic and cheaper to service yourself. A 125 is more powerful than your xr250.

as a general rule you dont believe adds saying the bikes been rebuilt x hours ago... most of the time its complete bullshit

i dont know what year your looking at, i have a 2001 rm125 that iv fully redone the motor on i may sell, i have a mate that supposingly wants to buy but he keeps fucking me around
