    Crank rebuild?

Finally got the KX out for a couple of rides in the last few weeks (the one with the "custom" shortened wheelbase I bought from auction last year). apart from a few minor things it still needs doing, it has a horrible (horrible!) vibration through the pegs that only shows up while standing.

As much as I like an excuse to be lazy and sit down everywhere, it's so bad I can't stand on the pegs for more than 30-60 secs without my feet going numb.

The bike seems to pull well, have trouble keeping the front down. It has a problem idling (high idle, then drops to almost stalling - I'm guessing this is reeds but haven't confirmed yet).

What should I start looking at myself, or is it new crank time? I saw a mention of a bike running rich can cause this.

Any ideas welcome, anyone wants to try it 1st hand I'll be at the sandpit on Saturday.
    Ciao Marco

Seems to be a common theme. Might just have to HTFU eh. But it does seem excessive, I might go through the engine mounts and the exhaust mounts and make sure everything is tight.

If the mains are worn it'll vibrate badly. As far as the idling problem goes...could be an air leak.

Is it possible for there to be no noticeable play in the stator and the Mains still worn? I'll double check it again but I'm sure I checked that when I 1st bought it (only ridden for a few hours since then).

It's due for a top end anyway so might be time to pull it all down. Don't know what I'll do if it makes _more_ power though hah.

    Thanks for the help
