hahahaha, sorry when I read the thread title I thought you were upgrading from the ginny to do fishing of another sort (where the fish are a lot larger than the ones that swim in the water) Cos you prolly wouldn't catch much with a ginny...

    My bad.

Hope you are able to sort your gear carrying issues out but I am kinda inclined to think (I carry a lot of gear for my job and some days it's just easier to.....) take the car - said in very quiet whisper
I lahk to moove eet moove eet...

I'm thinking about buying a pack rack.
But boy, oh boy, when I went down to the local shop to ask how much it would cost I got a quote of about $240.

Not to mention I need to buy a pack as well.

Dont buy a pack, buy a large sports bag, they are easier to tie on and you can tie shit on top of it.

IMO those bags designed for the racks tend to take up the whole rack. I'd feel rather limited with one of those I think.

pack racks can be very goodYou can turn the pack around and sit on the pillion seat and still have the carrier bit to carry another bag..Keep the heavy stuff as close the the centre of the bike as possible
