Nope...have seen literally dozens of bikes sold like Lance's by insurance companies.
Different company, different policy may be?

I've heard a couple of cases where it's happened and the ownership wasn't changed to the person who bought the still registered "wreck".

well.. whatever happened... I brought the bike. Its still registered and I own it.. but carjam says it was registered - deregistered and registered again... I dont care. Even in its prime no one thought the bike was anywhere near what I think its worth so no chance is hell of it being sold

Now, I find out yesterday.. that the bike was never deregistered. Sooooooooooooooo.. Its still road legal.

So .. once I get sorted and get the road kit back on it. (Im still gonna race it for the season) but will be doing the 4 points like orginally planned which is mint!

I'm not 100% sure yet but it looks like i'll have to bail on doing the four points, well all of it anyway..
