If you watch his speedo, you can see he brakes hard mid-corner - probably before even seeing the car. The bike stood straight up under braking, and it was all over.

Looks to me like he got freaked out when he saw the car.

If you look at his angle at the point just before he hits the car (0.06) he would be heading off the side of the road. If he had just stayed on his course (at 0.05) then he would have been fine.

Scary to think that one second (or even less than) is all it takes to feck it all up.

the road looks a bit narrow to be cornering that fast with on coming traffic

(unless of course the road was supposed to be one-way or closed for a biking event, in which case the car was not supposed to be there)
