eek A truly naked old girl!

Well, leaving work today, I noticed that the rego. plate, complete with attached warrant and licence had disappeared from my trusty old XT400 (a 1987, will never attain 'classic status' plodder). Definitely not half-inched, but more likely ripped-off and blown away as a result of some Newtonian Law that kicked in during the acceleration phase of my transition, from the Paramata roundabout onto the delightful SH1, southbound. Or maybe it was just plain bone-shaken off. Anyway, if anyone travelling between Whitby and Welly central does see a rego plate lying on the road, or implaled on a tree, or similar, then please let me know.... !
And does anyone know what the process is to get that little lot replaced ? Chris. 021 510 909.

I second Gibbo's comment. Interesting choice of thread title.

Cost me less than $10 bucks for a new plate from memory. Your local testing station will sort you out.

Plate may cost but your rego and wof do not just ring LTNZ, my plastic holder was broken off my bike number plate a month back with WOF and Rego both sorted at no cost...

The old girl is no longer naked.....

OK, just in case anyone else encounmters the same problem of losing plate, rego and warrant all in one hit, here's what I did, and what it cost:
    1. Called cop-shop to report the loss, just in case was I was pulled en route to somewhere (or someone has picked up the plate and was 'using it').
    2. Got a call later on from them to ask for details, so that they could send an email which I could use for insurance puproses, or if pulled over etc.
    3. Went to AA shop, filled in form MR6A, paid $8.80 and was issued with new plate, rego and metal holder for rego. Note, it's a new rego, the old one is defunct.
    4. Went to VTNZ, and paid $7.50 for re-issued Warrant ticket and plastic holder.
    5. Bolted the bits back on to bike.
    6. Went to Welly to watch the 'Feelers' at the Chicago Bar, and drank lots (and lots) of Kilkenny.
