Good ol Wairoa hospitality, they will probably drink a crate of beer tonight, then go pig hunting

Crikey That will be covered by the warranty I suspect
Couldn't pick a nicer town to break down in Many years and a starter motor ago I was pushing a big black Beemer through Wairoa toward the river intending to throw it in A guy asked if I needed a hand (looked at the height of the handrail and thought I will never get it over the side of the bridge on my own), I said yes and next thing I had a bike mechanic a free feed and accommodation. I love this country Its full of good bastards Hope Jatz has the same luck (don't forget the warranty )

That's a dodgey area to be hitch hiking in, isn't it?
Mate here has just bought a wrecked DR350 with carb but then Ashburton isn't exactly handy to Jatz just now.

    gives bikebandit part #: 1047418

Reverse lookup tells me its the same as in

    1990 Suzuki DR350L 1991 Suzuki DR350M 1992 Suzuki DR350N 1993 Suzuki DR350P 1994 Suzuki DR350R 1995 Suzuki DR350S 1996 Suzuki DR350T 1997 Suzuki DR350V 1998 Suzuki DR350W 1999 Suzuki DR350X

^ thats useless actually, given it might be the other model (CV?) carb in which case its down to

    1997 Suzuki DR350V
    1998 Suzuki DR350W
    1999 Suzuki DR350X

    Is it a BST33SS?

Found this which might be useful in future

I have been speaking to james and he's got the broken bit with the clip on out and is going to put the clip on the 2nd slot up(broken on 3rd slot) so ti should run, just a bit rich. I will still try the wrecker in the morning for another one and may be able to get it on the courier to somewhere, maybe your place Joe ?

No, BST is the CV. Probably a TM33SS flat-slide with accelerator pump.

He tried that, it starts and idles but won't accept throttle and he can't get it to rev past the rough spot. Thinking about it, that sounds odd, one clip position wouldn't make that much difference, surely? I'd expect it to burp & fart but forward progress should be possible.

Edit: spoke to him again, he hasn't tried it, he was talking about a different fix-it attempt.
    Cheers,
    Colin
