    Got some exhaust goo & placed sparingly aound cluch & brake handles - sealed it right up so the noise comes out of the mirrors now - no more popping-excellent!!

    Get some old style string. The white stuff. Not the modern plastic stuff.

    Light it and blow out the flame. It will ember nicely with a nice white smoke.

    Get the steed in the grarge, where there is no wind. With the engine running, hold said emberring string under the header and you will see even the smallest leak blowing the smoke.

    Cigarettes produce too much smoke, but the string thing works magic.

    Whilst riding across the dessert on my Zundapp with nothing but a six inch (thats imperial stuff kids ) crescent and a flat bladed screwdriver we could perform an entire hoof change on a camel without string

    Wasn't one of Nordies desserts was it - almonds with stewed bananas coated with chocolate?

    Alll I would do is cover the end of the exhaust when it is cold and it will accentuate any leaks.
