Yep I got home safe and sound Colin, no rain luckerly. 57mins from tamaranui BP to Whanga pub love that road.There's a big Billy goat with a nice set of horns on him at the Tahora tunnel so I'll have to rip back in and get him this week(thats only if Deano doesn't do him before I get there)

Bollocks, get of your arse and go get it
First attempt at uploading a video to you tube. Not really happy with what you tube has done to the quality so may revert to Vimeo for the next installment.
Great weekend everyone, thanks all for turning up and making it so enjoyable. Great to see the new faces and also to catch up with people I have met before (Crisis I still haven't forgiven you including the Akrapovics when you sold your 990!). I hope you all got home safely.
Phil and Colin thanks for doing all of the route finding etc etc (note to self next time I get involved organising a ride don't try to sell and buy a house in the middle of it!) you did a fantastic job.
Ride home was good, I left Pipiriki before the rest of the team to come back to the Naki and by the sound of it I was lucky as I had light drizzle from Patea while the others got some rain.
And by the way, Wanganui SPCA has contacted me - something about a goat floating past the main town with a lifejacket on...
For those of you wanting pictures here are some of the ones this amateur took.
For some reason they are shown in reverse order, but starting from the right (and going left)

Just got in the door about 1/2 hr ago, after an uneventfull trip back down. Was good not to have the screaming cross winds south of Foxton, but man it was blowing in Wellington city.
Excellent ride chaps, and good to meet a few new people. I think we all enjoyed ourselves and will definitly be back when the slip on the Whanga rd is cleared
And I think Naaaancy (the goat) did get lucky
Thats all I'm gunna say
I have a pic but "what happens on the ride stays on the ride"........unless I change my mind![]()
Home safe ,A big thanks for the guys for organising the tour of The Naki and the boat trip.
Cheers Pete AKA {Chirs}
Life shouldnt end at the grave well presented but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out yelling "shit that was a great ride!"
