Just wondering if you guys were considering doing the Meremere Track as part of this ride?

I found this one on my way south earlier in the year.

Rough route of where it is / goes (attached), Apparently you can go a bit further along than I went, I got scared off by the private property signs, which are to be ignored (accoriding to the couple of mx riders I met along the way). It follows a pylon access track.
It is seasonally closed (closed over winter, but for some reason I think I remember it opens september, but it may be end of sept, I am not sure).
It would not be big bike friendly, I did it middle of summer and it was pretty damn mucky and wet then, could be pretty hard this time of year (photo 2 was before it got interesting).

A couple of photos from along the way.

In this one you can see the state of the track in some places (it goes up the hill behind the rover and is pretty much just a grass track).

We know about that track but it doesnt lead anywhere and i'm sure we wont have time. The clay sections will be like a "greased pig" at the moment. You will have to wait until Colin and I sort out our next one in the "dry season"

Nice, not having time sounds like you guys have some fun intstore for us.

Even when I went through (with a fresh tkc80 on the rear) the clay sections were a bit of fun fully luggaged.

Those of you who have sent me PMs regarding the jet boating, I have replied with the details you need to know.

Remember if you want to do the jet boat PM me and I will send you the details of where you need to deposit the $110.00.

It's at the stage I'd use it as an emergency tyre only.

No-one's used it since Craig tried to get it on Gonzo and failed.
