Great pics, has been over 28yrs since been to Aotuhia, theose days we walked from Mangeahu Rd(upper)passed walkway turnoff and usually took 2hour tramp.Used to be an old homestead about 15-30mins over bridge.

To see the road(graveled not papa)is amazing,we used to head to Aotuhia each long weekend, went there one labour weekend, crossed a stream(usually shallow, but that Saturday was up to waist)then over bridge to somewhere to old homestead. The Monday heading home stream was back to normal, showed how quick streams can rise and fall.

Is there a tree branch stuck under the span of the bridge(to somewhere),massive flood back in the '30s apparently.

Have a mate who I walked the Wanganui walkway track in 1979 as teenagers who has been to the Wanganui river each decade since.Must head out that way asap and next time in Stratford for sure, nice drive in car, don't think the bandit is best bike, maybe dads quad hmmm, idea coming up.

Wow I hope they can clear it, often means someone has to put up the $$$, not sure how keen the Regional Council is on that?

    Thanks

Well I realy enjoyed the ride, the new bike went better than I expected as I was told of the terrible 19" front wheel.Didnt get a chance to try it off road though.
Phil did that shot of the GS sideways turn out.
I have forgotton the name of the german tyes you guys use, can anyone help.
Clint sorry for spraying rocks I hought I was well clear.
The river trip was great and was a bit of an eyeopener when we got the facts and photos of its use and the bridge construction.

look forward to riding with You guys again.
    Cheers Pete.
Life shouldnt end at the grave well presented but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out yelling "shit that was a great ride!"

    .
No apology needed, you were well clear, no rocks hit me, & one should expect the odd flying stone when chasing 100hp dirtbikes being ridden in a spirited fashion

    Cheers

Yeeessssss Saw you on ya bike, and later saw a guy walking down to the breakwater with his fishing rod and bait bag. You are both lucky to be alive as my swerve reactions weren't fast enough. Filthy rotten lucky buggers
