    Wet wet wet!

Is anyone else out there over this wet winter yet? Well Spring is supposedly here from the 1st September, so lets hope we get a warm dry spring.........
Weather forecasters are suggesting another dry summer, but a damp wet winter and spring.
I have ridden all through winter with numerous drenchings travelling to work in Aucks from Rodney. As wet as its been, at least it hasn't been cold as well.

Has anyone got any plans on accomplishing trips this summer?

I love riding in the rain! It's the intense wind gusts that scare me!

I'm not over winter. I'm dreading summer, I liked having weekend roads to myself.

I say "fuck it, I only live once". As long as there is no ice on roads I'll tough it out. But yes it's shit having to put more thermals on, clean the bike....

I too have been riding daily to work and back 60 kms round trip, if you have good gear the rain and cold aren't a problem, like someone before mentioned its the wind gusts that give me that scare

Pretty reasonable winter in Chch. Had a rough 3 days of big rain in May which was bad enough for me to take the car but apart from that it's been reasonable.(Heated hand grips and a balaclava makes all the difference though.

You can't beat Wellington on a good day

    yeh right.....

100km a day 5 days a week all through Wellingtons usual wet windy weather, and with a 0600 start mostly in the dark I am so over the rain and the bloody wind, but there's no way I'm getting back on the bloody train so bring on daylight saving and sunshine.
