    Random stones

I've found that every now and again when I'm riding my bike on a tar seal road, I'll get a fairly big stone, or other such object flicked into my helmet which is enough to give me quite a scare. So what you ask?
Most of the time this happens, I can't see another vehicle, or people around which could be responsible for it. It seems to happen around town as well as in the country side. Does this happen to other people as well, or am I just tripping?

The gods hate you, and are just getting their eye in at the moment, watch out for when they get good at it cos next it'll be boulders.

Seriously though, probably just getting flicked up front the front wheel or something.

How would one go about joining 'the club'?

Been riding for a long time and had it happen once (on sealed roads) - about a year ago. Was wearing fullface with visor down. Stone or something hit side of visor - no cracks but marks remained on the visor as a reminder of the fright I got- ATGATT with visor down or safety glasses to protect the eyes at least when the visor is up.

Could be rather large moths or other large six legged vermin. Depending if you're near the Beehive in Wellington.

Join the club? What club? There's no club. It's just a rumour started by someone who wished there was a club. Which there isn't. So you can't join. Because it doesn't exist.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Wear an open face helmet - you can then stop and remove the embedded object for identification. Resultant scars are also cheaper than piercing or tattoos while providing a lasting memento of the occasion.
