    Custom MX graphics

    Hi All,

My name is Luke Smith i used to ride Freestyke Motocross for a career for the Crusty Demons but a recent injury has left me to find a new career.

So Moto Mayhem graphics began and are now in production i am working away trying to juggle my uni schedule and designing custom graphics for riders, which is a bit different to the tour life i was used to but loving it.

Hit us up for your custom graphics for your race numbers or to promote your sponsors or companys logo or just a cool design you have come up with or a pro's bike you want to replicate.

Big bike custom kits are $380 and there is around a week turn around time shipped to your door, please feel free to drop me a email for 85/65/ pitbike kits.

I am not surwe how to uplload imagres on the site of the graphics so here is a trade me link of the graphics.

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Sear...ch_suggested=0

Check them out and i Look forward to hearing from you soon.

    My email is lukesmith@clear.net.nz

    Thanks again.

It might be worth making up some road bike templates too, its pretty untapped market in NZ.

    Something like this....

What DPI do logos have to be to load them up to the sticker?

Its really hard for us to display all our sponsors cause the stickers they supply are all diff sizes and they look so random. If we could get custom graphics made up for along the belly pan with all the sponsors logos on one sticker evenly spaced with all the right size it would look much more professional and it would be heaps easier to get the bike looking sharp again after a crash if we had some spares.

If your interested I could get my fairings off and come up to see you to nut out a design.

Also pre printed number boards for race bikes would be huge, you only have to look how shit all the very expensive race bikes look with there rangi numbers and random stickers and compare them with the slick looking MX bikes

funny you say that Choppa as myself and Craig have said the same thing when we were doing our track bike, i got Ilabb to do my whole race car in one sheet, so any decent signwriter should be able to do that, you will not need the think stuff you use on motocross bikes,

give me a call and ill tell you some guys i know can do it

300dpi minimum. If the logo was originally designed as a vector based graphic supply that.

If your sponsors are big name brands, http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/ has lots of free vector logos.

How big do you want the logo printed? If it's large enough and it's at 72dpi it may print okay when scaled down.

300 dpi is really only needed when you have very small text, ie business cards brochures etc.

150dpi for A4 upwards size and 80 dpi when you start getting over 1200 x 2400mm sizes.

If you find something you like post it up or a link to it and me or someone else can tell you if it'll strech up to the size you want without pixelating, and even then there are a few PS tricks to help hide really bad pixelation.

the only thing that makes those graphics unachievable as a decal is the metallic green, other wise that can be printed and wrapped. I suspect that graphic has been airbrushed/sprayed.

Choppa, depending on complexity its not a hard job to vectorise jpg logos, sometimes its the best way forward, I regulary do this for various clients in the same boat. FYI - Digitally printed graphics generally look fine at about 150 dpi.

There is no reason you cant wrap a street bike, its no different to a car or mx bike although the materials vary as mentioned. sing out if you need help re: logos, plates etc...

Luke - great to see youve found a new hobby - ive still got your graphics floating round here from b4 your accident.
