Hope that wasn't a sewerage pond!
Looks like there's a limit to how far you can travel on the water until it starts pulling your speed back and putting you in danger of sinking.
But yes it looks like fun, particularly if you're in a desert type situation like they were.

yes, on a regular basis. (we call it skimming)
its great fun, especially on a hot summers day.

cheese even tried on his RM, but his RM didnt like water.

its extra awesome when you line up multiple skims in a row, from island to island, with corners in between etc. hurts when you fuck it up though as you're going bloody fast

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

The only thing that really limits the distance travled is speed, the only problem with more speed is the water from your front wheel lifts your feet off the peggs which results in laughter from friends as your feet drag behind you and your balls are sandwiched as you super man behind ur bike. Still good fun in the summer.

Next time a ride is on out at whata22 you should head down Rick. Wicked riding area!!

And yeah that river killed my RM. Most boring time ever on a bike, kicking it for over an hour while Sam goes to get me a spare sparkplug.... super gay...

I've seen vids of snowmobiles and sand racers doing it but not dirt bikes! Awesome! A couple of guys nearly didn't make it!

theres where we start. follow the river upwards until it ends, thats the skimming playground,. and all the forestry all around is the rest of the playground

i should also note that google looks to have taken these photos at its dryest, in winter the river covers a significant area of the riverbed
