    Hi TA,

I'm new to this caper, but I assume that you are talking about the BK on Moorehouse Ave?

Yep, just in the carpark there, Burger King/Countdown, Moorhouse Ave.
I just choose it as it's central and seems to work ok for the road riders who meet there every Saturday and during summer every Wednesday evening.
If you come along you won't be new to it any more.

    Food !!
I'm going to have a bit of Brunch before i leave home and may take a snack or maybe pack half a subway sandwich to have on the road.
Can't promise what shops will be open or what time we will hit Akaroa, though I'd expect fuel and food to be available there when we do arrive.

Updated GPS files stop at Akaroa.

Ya blardy plonker Matt. Thanks guys and gals good arvo out! Sorry I had to bail out early. Had fun and was pleasant to ride with level headed guys, other rides I've been on you can fear for ya safety. Although the road tires wernt the best decision I've made.

+1 on the great day, thanks TA great ride - is it easy to "post" the route on something us non GPS people can see on the PC? - if not can you just post the roads and I will google and find it - some great roads that I would love to take some mates up some time
    Thanks again, Cheers Crim
I saw the DR650 shoot through at Duvauchelle so thought I would blast through to town behind it - my plan soon failed as I got stuck behind some slow traffic going up the hill so it was a solo ride - but road wasn't too bad - a good trip

Excellent day out people. 14 of us started.
Good to see some old friends and nice to meet a whole lot of fresh faces.

Will post my track log shortly. It can be dropped in google earth.
Might try form a map picture for you too.

How was the condition of the main road home from Duvauchelle?

Good - a couple of unexpected bumps but no real hazards until just before Halswell (and then signposted)
