    Looking for interisland bike transport

Need 2 get my 2 bikes from Christchurch to New Plymouth on the next couple of weeks....
Yes I could ride one, but I also have a cage or 2 to drive up.......,
So I am looking at transport options for bikes ( or cages, )
I know there must be older threads/post about this, but I can't seem to find any...
Appreciate being pointed in the right direction..
    Cheers

    Turn it into "a mission"

    Call in ALL your favours

One weekend get your mates to drive/ride one vehicle each

Then share a single vehicle back to Chch

    Could be a fun trip

(and will work out way cheaper than biketrans etc)

Multiple rides would be fun giveb the luxury of time and good weather, but I have always had great service from BIKETRANZ. There may be cheaper options but my experience with these guys=peace of mind.

Drive/ride up, fly back down. Repeat as necessary.

Hell, I'd happily ride one up for you and fly back if you were paying. I've even got enough credit for a bike and a person on the ferry one way.

Riding a bike back isn't a problem in itself.....but 3 cars and 2 bikes this way isn't very cost/time effective....
To fly from New plymouth isn't exactly cheap, so by the time you add it all up....
Flight, fuel, ferry food and accomodation.......
I will have to drive the cars up, but the bikes may be better off being transported.....
Will find out the cost of a 40 ft container port to port....
that would hold 2 bikes and one car.....
will also ring bike biketranz monday....
    thanks

    Used BikeTranz to transport Harley.....
Very good, fast proffessional and affordable.
Leisurely rode Aprillia up last couple of days, while my better half drove the classic Saab turbo...
    Very enjoyable trip......
couldn't shake off the old Saab....
    Not that i tried...

Only one more car left down south.......
    Getting there.

If only I could find an engine for it.
