How important is the colour of your bike to you?

Ever since I started riding I wanted red bikes (everyone knows that red bikes are faster), But very seldom have my bikes been red. My Royal Enfield Meteor Minior Sport 500 twin -62 was red. (She was my first "real" bike). The bikes I built were always supposed to be red, but then at the last moment I change my mind and come up with something more awsome. (That's right... Princess also had red on her. She is now all black thou...)

Now I have a green bike and a blue bike that I ride (and a small grey, yellow and a mixed colour one. Add to that a few in process of being built that do not have a colour sorted yet).

And I still want a red one.

What colour is your dream bike?

May the bridges I burn light the way.

    Pink is homo!

Any colour is ok, but you have to be a real hardcore dude to ride a pink bike. I saw a pink Speed Triple on Trademe a while back, in Kaikohe............ mmmm says alot.
I am freindly really, I only bite when provoked

Not important at all... Just as long as it's black. Actually the Candy Electric blue ZX14's have always look shit hot to me.

Well I wouldn't want my bike to clash with the colour of my socks and underwear (so red is definately out - red and pink are a total no-no)

Black - bikes, cars, clothes, helmets and boots. It's not often I have the choice when buying, but if I repaint it's always black. If they made black headlights I'd get one.

This is the first bike I've had that hasn't been some shade of red.

Not bothered about the actual colour as long as it "goes" with the bike.

Some colours are just wrong I feel (like the aforementioned pink, or maybe magenta, perhaps mocha, cinnabar could be ok on the right bike)
    Keep on chooglin'

My ideal colour is burgandy and slate with gold pinstipes.
But then the type of bike can also dictate the colour.
A bad ass chopper, bobber or custon just has to be black.
A sports bike, racer = green or red.
A trail bike adventure bike = orange or red.
A classic or retro needs to be burgandy and slate or ice white over deep blue .
The colour of the bike to me depends upon the type of bike it is,
reflecting the personality of the bike,
and the personality of the rider.
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.

black. Best colour and odds are, all gear matches it. 3 out of the 4 bikes I've owned have been black. Other didn't come in black at the time
