Joined MAG today, I was in it for 10 years back Pommy land, hopfully NZ MAG into the same direct action and disruption that makes the point & gets stuff done.

Just got Rego yesterday for the old trumpy, and read on the form its going up 2.5% more already as the B**tards are putting GST on it in October
"Tax ontop of Taxes."

Cheers triple, MAG-NZ has a big future, that I have no doubt. The committee and founding members are working extremely hard to ensure we do this absolutely right. Thank you for your support.

I can't see the point in an organisation trying to umbrella Sport riders with Recreational - the groups needs and wants are chalk and cheese, and I have no interest in motorcycling as a sport in any form, so not likely to even consider swinging the MNZ way and have my coin spent on a governing body spending potentially thousands of dollars to ensure little Johnny and big Suzy get to some obscure under 21 All Quakers invitational inter-church faith healing trail ride... or something...

I think twenty squids (and the occasional small top up donation if warranted/permitted) to a group like MAG-NZ or BRONZ to stop me from binning it on a poorly constructed road is a far better use of my coin.

Thats most probably because the main focus of MNZ is road racing unless I am mistaken. The two could work together.

I'm worried

from what I see there are a number of MAG comittee members who didn't want to take action when the Govt raised ACC levies: they didn't want to disturb the peace.

I hope MAG has the balls required and isn't the same PC bunch who have failed us in the past.

Time will tell I guess but I start as a sceptic given the names I see

we are still ironing out some details with regard to the ACC campaign (they will be on the website once we sort it), PC behaviour is likely to get results through larger numbers at protest actions, non-pc is likely to make more of an impact (per participant) with media and tptb, planning an action to maximize both will take a bit of thinking.
