Good to see some video. I thought the medium (40km) loop on Sunday was the pick of the bunch as it offered quite a lot more variety with some good open sections, hill climbs and a pretty mean expert section.

the 50 km ck on sat was very very fast track, 1 hr 10min to do a lap fast, including the expert section, had some way scary moments though. me and my mate where the first riders on the 40km track, dam it was slushy as, there must have been a good 4 inchs on pumice slop on top, we spent a good amount of time fighting the front tyre to stop it washing out. but we had a absolute blast though was very technical first lap on a hungover head! the second lap of the 40 was much faster, all the slop had been washed off and a clear line had established.
for the weekend we managed 4 laps of the 50 and 2 laps of the 40, 280 ks not bad for a weekend.
BB forgot to get ur number when i left so couldnt ring ya, tho i didnt see you on my lap through the pits.

What a fantatic weekend it was, did 2 loops of the 50, then the one loop on the sunday as i took a tumble down a hill and ended up with a handle bar to the top of the thigh. i still have a dead leg now.

my first bit of vid from Sunday morning on the 40k loop.

It seemed much faster on the day.
the rest might take a bit longer to up load as i have gone though my data cap so now its dial up again.

Yeah, it was pretty awesome both days wasnt it?! Good fun! And that last bit of the 35km was hard work (for me at least - thought it would never end, haha). Definately worth the trip to Taupo!

Today was mud, mud and oh yeah mud! They had a smaller 35km loop open today but it was carnage (for me at least) as it got a bit of a hammering on the last 10km as it linked in with the end of the 50km loop that was open both days.

Was a great event and had a bit of everything with some hills and good declines but then some messy bogs that tried to swallow anything that went near them.

Will do more of the Epic events as really well run and clearly marked tracks
