The whole idea is stupid, who the fuck comes up with this shit? If you payed the government off before you bought heroin would that make it any more or less harmful? Regardless of how ridiculous speeding laws can be, having a different set of rules on what is safe and acceptable based entirely upon how much money you pay to be on the road is pretty fucked up.

When I was there, everybody was doing over 90 on the I5 (including the cop car I have on video overtaking me) and it wasn't carnage... not to stupid when you see the standard of the roads (plus the drivers don't all drive like the dick heads in Auckland).

The roads and driving are of a generally waay higher standard than in NZ.

And so was my speed there....
