maybe the jets turbines produced such massive force and wind, it slowed the bike down?

When I watched it I wonderd what the Kwaka rider would do should/when the fighter got in front. The blast thrown off would have been pretty sphincter twitching.

ummm ya driven one? they are fast aye, I have driven a few Porsche's and I have draged the VTR up against a 996 turb, up too 160k yip the bike may have it but from there on and we went well past the 2 hundie mark I couldent pull it in.

Ok now the ZX10 in the vid clip would eat a VTR for breaky but it would still work hard at kepping ahead of the Porsche, there was defnitly a problem with the bike as the car passed him a a wicked speed.
    cheers DD

By all means its not a slow car, its fucking fast... But to have that greater speed acceleration at that high speed is not possible with it being a standard car....

Yep ive heard the stories about Vladi doing 250 and a Holden Monaro catching him... Only when upping the speed to 275 did the monaro start to dissapear...

Yeah it all depends on what the distance of the test was. In a real long one the porsche would take the bike i think. Whats the top speed of a zxr these days?? Around the 290 to 300 mark isnt it?? I've seen in mags confirmed 310 out of a porsche turbo. But those last 30 or 40 kms take a long time and distance to achieve so it would all be dependent on the length of the runway.

P.S. Dangerous did you do those tests at a track?? Which one??

With an Evo4 Drag only Mods now doing 7's for the 1/4mile, I hate to say but I think the days of bikes being faster than "Cages" days are numbered if not over

7 seconds? That would have to be some serious modification. I crew for an A/Altered car (Grant Findley, he's the man) thats holds the nation e.t. and mph records for its class. Estimated 1700 rwhp, with 13 inch wide slicks, still only manages mid-7 1/4s.

EDIT- Forgot my point. Sure after spending many thousands of dollars on modifications a car will go faster than a bike, but for $20k? or even $40k?

Yup and i still raced you on my push bike .....

    Anyway.......

I've only felt the jet wash of a 747 at standstill - so that of an actual fighter at speed should be a lot higher right?? No wonder the biker backed off.

ilds say he was afriad of jetwash/blast, i know a 737 taxi'n, the jet wash from that is enough to turn a small plane (not a microlight) round 90Degrees, he was prob also afriad of turbulent airflow from the jet, that would be enough to knock you over.......

but then why does he get angry?

An Evo doing 7 sec 1/4's is not your average cage. Cars can be fast as hell, but for under $100k you'd be hard pressed to buy/build car that can foot it with a bike in a straight line, and still get a warrant and be able to go 'round corners. At the top end of the $ spectrum, cars will be quicker than a bike...but I'm @#@%'n convinced that a 10R would shit on a 996 Turbo...from any speed.
