Cars will always be faster then bikes (sorry but it is true).
Take 2 japanese performance manufactuarers - Veilside, and Yoshimura - there vehicles cos relativey the same, but dont expect a Yoshi Busa to beat a standard busa 2 times over - where as veilside, do a google.
The difference between a bike and cars, is while cars are fun, they are just toys - you dont feel fuck all in a car in comparison to a bike, when you ride a bike at 20k, you still can get hurt, so you have that fear.
basically cars are for pussies, you dont fear death, you dont experience the elements, and you drive the way a computer tells you to.
Bikes are like hunting something, its more natural, less restrictive , and more adrenellin

And mate, please don't turn this into a car vs bike thread, go to some squid forums in the states if you want to do that.

This Evo is not road WOF'able. It is only set-up for drags. It's 1/4's are in the 7's not 7s and not sub 7s. Just think we are getting too arrogant if we think as bikers that bikes will always bet cars.
As for turning this in to a car vs bike thread, get real! It's already a bike vs car vs jet thread. Get over yourself.
I love my bike but that does not close my mind to other vehicles and they abilities.
One night at the Night Wars have made me appreciate what effort other vehicle owns have made.
    As I said before:

No this is a zx10 vs porsche turbo etc thread, nothing to do with drag cars, they are a complete different subject. Who cares if a massively modded jappa can do a 7, its not able to be driven on the road, like all the other vehicles we are talking about.

As for the lets not turn this into a car vs bike thread remark look back in the archives, many an argument has been started and it gets a bit tired after a while. As for get over myself, not a chance

You talk like a guy who hasn't seen rally driving.... or if he has hasn't sat beside a rally driver......or really thought about that aspect of motorsport.....

Agree bikes are the bomb -- but dont dis cars mate - I love em both dearly.

It was probably was better than the bike. There's no beating the initial bite a prop has on water.

I think we just need ghost rider's insane busa to come from nowhere on one wheel and go past the jet as it takes off

So the jet is road legal What your point? As you say the subject has been done to death, so why do I need to come up with something original

They start at 1:23 and the bike seems to slow at 1:46 (assuming the vid is continuous) that gives 23 seconds of full throttle
could it have reached top speed?
Was the rider just pissed off that he had been caught?

How could this have happened? A $20K bike being beaten by a multi million dollar jet fighter? Thats it, trading up...off to Jet Fighters For Less. The whole car vs bike thing, if you spend enough money on anything you can make it go fast, what gets me is that I own a bike (CBR1000RR) that like other current litre bikes would put a MotoGP bike of a few years ago to shame (with riders of equal talent), no production car available to the masses would even come close to a Formula 1 car of a few years ago.

That jet wash must have been some freazy stuff.

yeah, I reckon it'd make a windy ride over the harbour bridge look pretty damn tame! Blimmin pilot probably had the burners plugged in for maximum effect!

To all those that are farting on about the porsche - watch the darn vid and see what happens before bleating on about how fast it is. ZX10 definitely slowed considerably and was MILES ahead of the 911 and jet before that
