CB1300 is around 18k per litre, thats 2 up with bags full of stuff.

My old F650 g/s would do 82 miles to the U.S. gallon (3.7litres to the U.S. gallon)

    Of our 3 bikes:

    - VTR250 - worst case is 27+km/litre or 3.7L/100km. Ridden by Mrs. B who is a fuel miser master! (she has achieved over 33km/litre)
    - SV650 - 14km/litre (worst), 16km/litre (avg) or 20km/litre (best when babying it omn long open road stretches) - or between 7.1L/100km, 6.25L/100km or 5L/100km
    - Speed Triple (still running in mind you and giving the throttle some stick and working the motor to seat the rings) - averaging 6L/100km. I think I could get this into the mid to high 4's with babying on long open road stretches (once she's run in)

SVs in general are fuel hogs. I'm not surprised at the SV1000 stats above. Not economical when compared to an equivalent sized IL4. For example - my mate on a brand new R6 got about the same economy and was leaving me behind.

My SVS was pretty economical I thought. 22 - 25 km/l regardless of how ridden. Even with the Two Bros can fitted.

The S version is higher geared though...

Compared to the Gixxer Sixxer currently running, the SV was good. I put 17.08 litres in the gixxer tank this morning - a mere 260km since last fill. 15.2km/l...6.6l per 100km...mind you, it goes a bit quicker than the SV did...

Must have been running on negative fuel by the time I got to the servo - the tank is only supposed to hold 17 litres...

Not mine, 160-170k's per tank. Off the mark, I'd take your gix6

So is your SV carb or FI?

    EDIT: FI since it's K7?

Hell, I used to get up to 370km per tank if I was careful - 350 without trying too hard at all...mind you, mine was the 650 not the thou...

I used to get ok mileage when it was stock.

After all the mods I've done, while they make it run better/faster have raped its fuel economy, but smiles per gallon is more what I'm after

I haven't worked out what my CBR uses in fuel. I'm scared to.

My throttle has 2 positions. On and off. Strictly by choice

Maybe its the tune and arrow single race system that reduces my chances of ever seeing that sort of economy.

eek BMW F650CS - a real fuel miser!

Worst I've ever had on a particularly frantic twisty ride was 23 km/l - normally it's 26/27 km/l and the best - Ham to Paihia on a heavy traffic ride was 33 km/l.

That makes your selection 4l/100k or less!

I get 20k per litre out of my Dominator which is cool on a 24 litre tank.
