    Time to celebrate!!!

    Hey all,

Just thought me and Jess should share our good news. Sometime in late Jan '06, we will be expecting our very own baby bikie!!

Now.... who in NZ sells sidecars? Or maybe I should get a Goldwing and stick him/her in one of those side panniers

    Sleep-ins are overrated...

Enjoy fatherhood Ants. It's one of the most challenging and rewarding things you will ever do in your life.

And just think - you'll still be a young enough grandfather to be able to corrupt your grandchildren

Congrats. But don't give up the bikes. Let her have a car.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Totally agree on all points.

It's hard (read: Freakin hard) work. Filled with moments of self doubt, ecstasic joy, unrelented frustration, shear wonder.

You planning on having more? Have them close together. There's so many benefits to it. Of course it's harder work too, but from personal experience their closer relationship wise when born close together.

One word of warning which no one told me about. Take a book, some video games, etc when she goes into labour. It's so freakin boring for 95% of it. The last bit though makes it all worth while. Not just the sight of this indervidual being that you helped create come into this world. But also the smells and subtle nuances that you don't think about til you're there experiencing it for yourself.

Well done Ant, now comes the fun part, dealing with a moody hormonal pregnant wife...
