I dislike the look of the new Speed Triple. I hate the headlights.

There I said it. Now I feel better.

    So, no logical reasons then.

    I tend to agree,

I dont know what it is about round headlights, but its more.. BOLD and buggy i suppose, like some wide-eyed pet that will follow the masters command. THe new headlights are more streamlined and sly, cat like, a bit of an arrogant feel towards it.

    Im weird i know..

I liked the fact that it was ugly. Now it's like it's ugly, with slicked back greasy hair, pulled so far back, it's got the wind-tunnel look going on.

The specs sound really good for the Speed - less weight, more torque. Interesting they are balancing the weight forwards a bit more - must have been just too wheelie prone

Styling - arse end looks excellent especially that shot without the plate mount. Looks even more of a single seater now!

Headlights ........... I'd have to say the round bug eyes were getting a bit 'dated' I always presumed they would retain a pair of round ones just replace them with some of those high-tech smaller ones like on some of the BMW's. I was wrong- they went with over sized cat-eyes. Look OKish with the bug screen, but I never found the shape of the bug-screen attractive.

What's with the side bits Dave? Are they functional at all or just decorative.

So no mention of my hot-rod Bonnie Bobber then?

Anything is an improvement from those ugly, ugly, round headlights.
Looks like a nana eyeing you up all hunched over.

Ewwwwwwww, I don't like the chocolate and cream colour on the T100. The colour pattern has changed too from previous models, same as the 2009 50th anniversary special now. It's got a different seat too, it looks to be the scrambler seat.

I never did like the bug eyes on the speed triple, I always thought they looked like an afterthought - shit we forgot the lights, quick just bung these ones on. So at least the new ones look like they're supposed to be there.

Quite like the bug eyes on the new Thunderbird though, and the rest of the Thunderbird's new look.

But that's the point of a Street fighter. It's supposed to be ugly!

Now it looks like one of those slappers you see out on the town, who put their make-up on with a trowel. It probably wouldn't be that bad with nothing on at all, but by trying to conceal everything, it just looks like you've got more to hide!

    Maybe it'll grow on me.

    Sacrilege.

S3 to me is about what it's not. Enhanced by what you remove from it or can minimize and make lighter. Only purely functional items countenanced. 'Creature comforts' end at the seat.

    (I don't know)

I can't tell whether the chocolate and cream is a recreation of an old scheme of not.

A lot of the old pics have that sepia tone anyway.

shit, they're really getting more into the 'hog' market aren't they?

I'm in 2 minds about the Sp-Triple's lights. They're kinda not classy any more. Need to see one in the flesh.

I wouldn't buy one anyway. I'd get a Striple. So pretty much my opinion isn't worth anything
