Maybe ... cross-ply tyres slide ... radials are not that easy to slide and you don't get the same howl from them ... it's technology that's changed ...

So - from my perspective - very little has changed ...

You'd have hated me if you were a cop back in the 1970s and in Chch ... I certainly would have hated you ...

PS I now ride with a couple of retired cops and consider them to be friends

Don't go to court , run and keep running, they'll give up eventually ! I'm sure !!! ish
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I was lucky, I got a good judge. Best hope your judge doesn't know anyone personally who was killed by a speeder.
I was quite surprised by similar.

At my recent-ish and first court appearance it was the judge who seemed like the only normal and understanding human in the whole court room.

I had a similar thought, in that it seems that Harley riders have fun at about the speed limit. The ground clearance is a worry though...

Could have been HEAPS better if he hadn't stopped... then again it could have also been much worse...

I guess the range of what could have happened is all that really changes.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

My commiserations. I've just ended a three-month suspension - that was hard enough ... six months is a long time ... did that 20-odd years ago for wreckless driving ...
