Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

yeah its a good ride and you can camp there, last year there seemed to be quite a few crashes , not sure if it is because it is not on pumice like trail blazers rides .
it can be quite slippery when wet.
and look out for medical vehciles coming towards you on way to victims.
    But i really enjoy it.
has a bit of everything , especially if its slippery its pretty cool.

    hi
any locals from the naki done this? thinking of taking my son on this .skill wise purangi in the wet is too much for him. he handled waikawau ok but the ruts were abit deep for his toy,crf150f, and im too unfit to ride 2 bikes.walking up/down those hills just about killed me ,lol. he handles most of the rides in the dry fine, tho we do take the easy options when available.

its not too bad, i managed it on my 3rd time riding on a klx300. definatly worth it.... though the rain did make it tricky last year.... some lovely step hills destroyed by 3-400 riders lol planning on camping this year for it
