See, I told ya I was outta touch with fashion! You'll have to show me 'round some of your favourite latte bars in the big smoke and get me schooled up.....should I go with the swandri or blue "wife beater" singlet if I'm tryin' to blend in......

Bloated? I think it's the last of the real world sized litre bikes, the rest of them look like 400's on roid's and the rider ends up looking like a pumpkin on a pimple unless you're Dani Pedrosa midget like. As for the looks.. I like them, better looking than any of the other big four litre bikes and Ducati's don't really do it for me, too thin, look like the runt of the litter.

The 848 is pretty but is low spec and will utlimately leave you wondering about it's bigger brother(s). Both are lousy value for money.

There is no new Ducati out there that I know of that you could call even remotely value for money and again the R1 is no worse than any of the other big four.

Ok, everyone's allow their opinion for sure but seriously? Probably the 2nd most poorly judged Ducati (looks wise) behind the 1st gen Multistrada but it's personal opinion I guess, i've never been into any Ducati until I laid eyes on a Streetfighter (that's an awesome bike but again too small) and oddly I don't mind the new Multistrada either.

Nah, I meant value for money as in newish bikes that ya take a big hit on depreciation when they aren't substantially better than their predecessors, if at all. "New" is overrated, especially if your just trundling 'round the streets.

Haha, yeah I looked at the first pics of the 999's with horror too, but the fuggin' things have grown on me. To my eyes they are just something that still looks fresh, different and good in an unconventional way, especially the later ones with the red frame and black fabricated swingarm. It wouldn't have been judged half as harshly if it hadn't had to follow in the footsteps of the 916-998.

Your onto good things with the Streetfighter and new Multistrada though, I gotta agree with those.

For the record Ducati have made plenty of ugly bikes, as illustrated below, that make the 999 look like Miss Universe.

Yeah you'd be right about the first one, shocker the most bike were back in that day! Is the second one a 851 Superbike? I used to drool over those things as a young fella..
Edit: Sorry had a better look, some version of the Paso?
