    Smile Powerhouse - Yamaha MT01

I see Yamaha are releasing a muscle bike. MT01. Very similar to the V-Max of a few years ago.

They've been on sale for two months.

    Cajun's already ridden one:

I wouldn't say no, but after reading his review, and some others in the mainstream motorcycle press I don't think I'd be happy with it as my only bike.

Saw one at Manfield a couple of weeks ago during a classic race meeting. Really good looking muscle bike and I'd love to get my leg over one for a tester. Have to admit though that it did take me two hours to realise the change was on the "wrong" side.

The proud owner told me it was completely different to his sports bike, a Cagiva if I remember correctly, but then I guess they're not supposed to compete with them. Would probably make a very good and comfortable touring bike if only you remembered to stop for fuel at every servo you came across.

She's right - thought you might have been interested to see what Cajun thought

    Good point though

Thanks Jim2. Yes, I was interested in the review. Very surprised that he thought the VTR had more pulling power...but there you go.

Will be interesting to see what everyone thinks of the MT-03 when they're finally available.

Gotta say if I collected bikes, an MT-01 would certainly have a place.
