The ride today with the MAG group was reasonabile in my view. There were four WNR riders that I saw.
Here i will have to put in that the quality of organisation and riding on the WNR is good when compared to the other groups I have ridden with over the past few months.
At least everyone knows where they are going
And the leader knows how to get there.
And the pace is very even and safe.
IMO the WNR is doing a good service to those here in CHCH,the riders are better prepared well behaved and learners feel comfortable with us.
Its good too, that more experianced riders are not slow at giving out constructive critisizim where and when needed. Even some of the critisizim that comes from other members of the forum is take on board.
I believe that the WNR is a good place for good riders and learners
But remember this is my opinion and does not reflect everybodys elses opinion.

Hey, I know I'm not suited to leading - I had specifically refused to lead this ride when I was approached (I know I'm Captain Slow ), just turned out on the day there was no one else... My deep thanks to RQ for the lead thru town, would have been OK apart from getting caught out with the road closures (sorry, again short notice and don't continually cruise town checking possible routes on the off chance I'll get drafted!! )

And I guess from the pace comment is a compliment to the WNR; wasn't trying to be uneven or unsafe (unless sticking to the limit with learners is?)

Anyway... maybe next time there'll be more suitable riders available for leader, less last minute venue/route changes and others putting their hands up? Maybe even you?
He who shall go stately at the back and not stress out.
So Gareth what was it you said about MaxF's "Funky ass curves"? - God, now I'm worried...

    Hi All

Wont be coming on any WNR for a while......im currently in Singapore.

Went to Macau last week, check out this line of parked scooters, they are EVERYWHERE!everyone there rides a scooter or small motorcycle.Makes me realise how small the NZ market is by comparison.

Anyway hope you all have a good time riding around the hills and stuff,im off to Moto GP in Malaysia next weekend, since i dont have a bike to ride here...YET

Hopefully I'll make it to this WNR. I finally have all the electrics working again. Just gotta get a WOF and REG.

Where are we heading? Not out Rangiora way by any chance?

    Thank you SB.

It is always nice to have positive feedback.

I think we are lucky to be an established group with experienced members. All our leaders have done a good job, they deserve a big vote of thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that our people are feeling comfortable enough to voice negative feedback as well.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

My first time riding with more than two people, so was new for me. I'm normally Mr Speed Limit (or close to it), but with the fast crew in front I felt I could stretch it's legs a bit. Cheers guys See you on wednesday.

Good to see you there! Nice bike by the way, I do believe Peeteey was drooling over it!

I know exactly what you mean! If there's a copper hiding around the corner he'll nab that lot and leave us to ride in peace

    Not what you meant?

Was that him riding the white 848? I had to wring out my helmet lining to get rid of the build up of drool

The sound was beautiful! I made sure I stayed behind him for as long as I could just to listen
