    Pre-purchase inspections in Auckland

Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who does these in Auckland?

I've got my eye on a Kawasaki GPZ 500S but don't really know what I'm looking at when it comes to buying second hand. So to try and avoid buying a lemon, I'd rather someone with a skilled eye could look over it for me and give me an honest opinion on the bike.

Do you normally have to take the bike to them or does anyone offer a mobile service? What's the going rate for an inspection?

    Any advise much appreciated.
Pure dead brilliant by the way!

I got a pre-purchase check done at Cycletreads in Takapuna before I bought my last bike. It only cost around $40, and I was able to negotiate the price down by a few hundred dollars based on some of the things that they found.

I don't know of any mobile mechanics who do this, but I expect somebody on here may know of someone.

if there is not a lot of mention of servicing, save some cash for a service anyhow!
