Kuratau ride suggestions?

Hi, I'm staying in kuratau south of Taupo until Sunday. Can anyone give me any suggestions for any nice twisty roads to ride around here, I really don't know the area at all and any reccomendations would be great, or any locals want to go for a ride, let me know.

Lots of nice roads around there, head over the Waituhi saddle to Taumarunui, be sure to have a look out from the lookout if it is a nice day. Flax cafe down the other side of town is good & biker friendly.

If you have time carry on down hwy 43 until you run out of tar (or continue to Whangamomona if you don't mind a little smooth gravel) There are a few slips on hwy 43 at present though so be careful. Loop back through Ohura if you want some real twisty stuff.

Otherwise from Taumarunui head up hwy 4, cut across to hwy 30 on Kopaki Rd then loop back through Whakamaru & hwy 32.
