It is sad to see so many suv's on Moscow roads now.
He did show what the use of the black line between the two yellow lines is for... a "bikes only" lane. Just wide enough for your tyres!

There was one moment in the video where a car's wing mirror actually passed underneath his bike's left-hand mirror!

A lot of the guys on the bikechatforums website are convinced that video has been sped up.

    Awesome !!!

Why ride like that ? Because you can - and because it's fuck'n fun ...

Didn't see anything there I haven't done ... ('cept ride an R1) ... probably getting to old to try it again .. nerves are a bit frazzled at times ...

I was wondering that when I saw him tighten the gloves.

Dunno why your post stirred the grey matter but I have just remembered a late for work trip across Aberdeen in Scotland on my XT 350 which involved pavements, riding through the flowers in the middle of roundabouts & various other heinous shenanigans. A very long time ago & it was fun. Sweated it for weeks waiting for the bang on the door though. The pot abusing the kettle me thinks.

Naaa ... there's no indication it's been sped up ... the motion looks completely natural - it wouldn't if it was sped up ...

I wondered that too .. but I don't think he's going as fast as it might look .. there's all sorts of lens foreshortening and technical stuff going on ... and that makes it look faster than it probably is ..

Yeah Right! A Crazy Russian by the name of 'The Black Devil' on R1 Going Against Traffic In Moscow.

Can you say ROAD RAGE or is this the daily commute to work for the fellow kiwibikers on here?
Good judgment comes from experience. Unfortunately, the experience usually comes from bad judgment.
