    Eggszackery.

I do wave to the kids - they seem to get a huge buzz outta it. For some of them, I think a person on a bike is completely outside their experience, and they fair nut off to their folks if they get a positive response.

If I'm talking to them and they show any interest, I've also told a few (very) young nephews/nieces/assorted young folks to wait until they are 21, and then ask Dad for one ...I've been called bad, bad names after that.

    No discrimination with kids

They'd better not take a look at me, I'm old enough to be their grandfather

There was a small girl came up to me outside the supermarket when I was getting onto my motorbike the other day, she had a scooter - foot propelled variety - and she said, "I need a motor on my scooter like you have." She asked all sorts of questions, like "Is it hard on your head inside your helmet?" "Why do you wear such heavy clothes?" "How do you stay up?" I took my helmet off so she could feel the padding, told her I never wanted to fall off my bike but if I did the clothing might stop me getting hurt, and told her that one day she would ride a two wheel bike and would know herself. Her Mum stood back and watched, seemed happy to have her daughter's curiosity answered.

But I think its just curiosity. Will that different person on a bike and NOT in a car wave back.

Neither do I. Even with a clear one it's not that easy to see your face. Especially when the view is mostly from the side.

Or one like I did - she rides as well and doesn't even have a car license.

Had to laugh today, coming home from work earlier I stopped at a set of lights, group of little kids with Mums in tow about to cross in front of me, the littlest girl gives me a big smile and wave! She must have only been about 3 years old, so I gave her a wave back - don't think her Mum was too impressed though, gave me a sour look...!
    1990 CBR250RR - fully rebuilt and awesome!
    1999 CBR900RR - a work in progress...
