Well if the cops don't deal to it soon, how about a group of us go get it?

Has anyone even tried to talk to the seller, could be legit, they could of brought it not knowing its stolen, have no clue about bikes, as you can tell by there post.
try talking to them, seem legit trader,
I have no shame in being proven wrong, give the trader the benefit of the doubt.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

before everyone goes over to the guys house to burn him, he might not know its stolen. knowbody knows where or how he got it.
I brought a bike to fix a while ago, when I went to look at it, the whole thing stunk and didnt add up. I took the chasis number and gave it to the police, they didnt have the number in the system, so they told me there was know way of knowing for sure.
Broken bikes wanted, pm details
reply:
"Yes, the bike has been painted
Sort of power band. Not sure what you mean as I bought the bike to play
with....don't really know too much about it...
Perhaps you could tell me how to look at the bike so I can answer your
question
Cheers"
What now? Thought I might ask them for the vin # so I can figure out what kind of powerband it has.
Edit: I won't take it any further than this without Scott's word tho, don't want to disrupt any police action etc just grab some info![]()
I thought Scott was pout of the country hope get some good news and its his bike and he gets it back.
Its always a good ride when you come home in one piece.
As much as a lynch mob sounds like a good idea it could be counter productive...
Ask them for the engine/chassis number so you can identify what kind of powerband it has... (the early models have a rubber band so I hear)
Try to be the person your dog thinks you are
i am out of the country, i got paid out by insurance on this bike so i have no legal right to it, i have no doubt this is my bike,
i have got onto the insurance company though work at home, and it is up to them now, they told me they would handle everything incl contacting the police, i thought about sending an email to the person but decided against it as it may go back into hiding, by the looks the guy has no idea what so ever on what he has, and the bad paint job, strecthed chain, and general bad condition, if it is still listed tomorrow ill send him an email,
i have no doubt it is my bike, the set up is very unusual as there are very few 90 kg 6 foot tall people riding rm125's, and i am pretty sure that i am the only person to put that ohlins damper on a 125 (even Robert Taylor did not know they fit until i tried it) and the yellow rims are rare as well,
right, its 730pm over here, i am heading to the pub,
90 kg????? and the rest hahahaha and that was before you left for overseas, u may have to re-calibrate the scales when you get back after living the good life in london...
Will see you when you get back scotty
Its always a good ride when you come home in one piece.
hmm sent guy a text from my laptop has a none available phone number we can text from but cant be rung.
asked if he still had it relply was " Not for sale sore mate.. Just found out its stolen"
How surprising guess that means the insurance Co has acted on it.

sorry but if he "purchased" it I am assuming he won't get any money back then?
I will be an optimist and assume that he didn't know but you have to wonder given the year etc of it that even a newbie would do a quick check of webpages etc and work out that it was a bargain. He was selling it rather cheaply after all .....![]()
I agree that we need some sort of register to put stolen chassis numbers on so that people can find out...and just an admin fee to cover the cost of setting it up and running it.
Will keep an eye out at turners for it....I need new rims!![]()
A man asked a fairy to make him desirable & irresistible to all women. She turned him into a credit card.
if the insurance got it it will most likely come up for auction, and you would want ot ee how they looked after it before you committed, i did 1.1 hours on it and in the auction it said 18.5 hours, if they did not use good oil, or take care of the air filter you can do a bit of internal damage in that time,
the tall seat and bars would not suit everybody but are easy to change, and the steering damper is a bonus for most,
